Richard
Walker needs no introduction to anglers. His original approach to
angling, his phenomenal catches of specimen fish, his technical knowledge
and skill in designing rods and equipment, have made a tremendous impact
on the present generation of anglers.
His record carp, was a monster
of 44lb,caught in 1952.
As a writer too, he has been an outstanding success; stimulating, even
provocative at times, but with crystal clear reasoning, his books
and articles have won him a wide following.

"Walker's
Pitch" is a great selection of articles by Richard Walker from
his column in the Angling Times. The chapters on Tactics and Tackle and
Behaviour of Fish alone make the book indispensable to the thinking angler,
whilst his methods for catching roach, chub,
Tench and carp are excitingly
original. |
