Full Circle is the wonderful story of how Bob Buteux
caught his first seven pound chub and tells of his life
time spent trying to catch this monster fish.
The tale starts off in the 1950's, of a young man
catching his first chub on the River Lea in Essex. The
story grows along with Bob’s enviable catches of big
chub. Throughout the next 50 years Bob travels the
country in search of a seven pounder, then, at the age
of 78 he finally catches the fish of his dreams from the
River Lea where he soon realises that it was from only
yards away from where he caught his first!
His chub fishing career has turned in a full circle!
It has a Foreword written by Bob’s old friend, Pete
Cranstoun and contains numerous photographs, plus
illustrations by Tom O'Reilly throughout.
